Beer and ferrero rocher
Beer is very good for your digestion, ancient civilizations knew this, their workers were given beer rations. Elizabethans drank beer over fetid water. I’ve come late to beer, but I’m a convert. Lagery beer that is, always like heavy (Arrols 80/ my favourite).
Ferrero rocher, another winner, maybe not so ancient, hazelnuts and chocolate, I feel sure someone must have put these two together as soon as it was possible. A sacred foodstuff and the kernel of a new plant: heady stuff.
I like the idea that sugar is a commodity the universe would ban, peculiar to Earth. I suspect alcohol might also fall into that category. But what wild chemicals await us out there in the cosmos?

Hi Tiddlypompom
Ah- chocolate is an interesting compound I am fond of myself (dark intense stuff only) and my very favourite is with citrus and geranium oils added – it adds to the smell in an interesting way and more subtly to the taste.
I was interested to read ages ago how complex it is chemically – it affects mood, libido, energy levels – think it is an all round health food and pleasure stimulant really – I am mainly talking about the dark stuff here 45 – 85% cocoa (preferably more than 65%).
I think there is probably still more of the cocoa-type type of plants to be discovered out there (I think vanilla is a distant relation to cocoa) that native peoples are probably already aware of. As far as out in the cosmos goes who knows…..
Cheers, Archie
